August closes with some strange bedfellows in the notable new music release ranks -- Tim McGraw and Alice Cooper, for instance. And that’s not counting fresh titles from Ashnikko, Burna Boy, Maluma, the return of Dethklok and another all-star album beaming up from William Shatner (all subject to change)...
Album of the Week: Thirty years after his little-noticed debut album Tim McGraw is back with his 17th, “Standing Room Only” (Big Machine). The follow-up to the chart-topping (Country) “Here on Earth” was produced by McGraw with longtime collaborator Byron Gallimore and features 13 new tracks; McGraw co-wrote one, “Nashville CA/L.A. Tennessee” with Lori McKenna, who also guests on the song. The title track came out as the album’s first single in March, with “Hey Whiskey” on track to follow.
